Look at me

Starting this blog has been challenging. I started this blog months ago (at least, I registered it months ago) – and when I recently came back to start posting, I realized that I didn’t like the title. It didn’t capture what I thought I would be posting. (FYI, the old title was "Cre8ing" - something I do, but not who I am)

So I tried again. Finding a blog address and title that wasn’t already taken took some effort. I wanted something based on my name because I envision this blog being an eclectic mix of everything in my life, not just one particular aspect, like mommyhood, or marketing, or living in small town Saskatchewan.

I checked out options like “jade”, “jaded”, “jadeg” – all taken. “madebyjade” – also taken. Finally, I came up with the ingenius solution of inserting punctuation – and “made-by-jade.blogspot.com” was born.Voila!

After successfully setting up my blog, I thought it would be interesting to check out those blogs that had ‘stolen’ my potential monikers . . .

I take an odd bit of comfort in the fact that anyone accidentally coming across these blogs would not mistake them as mine - their authors are obviously completely different people. People I may follow for a little while, out of curiosity. 

I feel a bit like a Peeping Tom or an eavesdropper. But I think I'll get over it.
